How Do We Know God is Real?
Whether you have faith or whether you are still curious about faith matters, at some point, you’ve probably wanted to know how to know is God real.
Faith plays a central role in addressing the question, “Is God Real?” The Bible says that faith is “the substance of things hoped for. It is the evidence of things not seen” Hebrews 11:1. Faith is the cornerstone of a relationship with God.
Ecclesiastes 3:11 Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end.
This eternal longing explains human aspirations for something beyond the present. There’s more to life than what we’re living. You can have all the worldly possessions you’ve dreamt of but still have a God-size hole in your heart.
God put it on your heart to ask yourself, “Is God Real?” so you would search for him.
And then God says through the prophet Jeremiah, “if you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me” (Jeremiah 29:13).
Romans 1:20 For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.
It takes more faith to believe there is no God than to believe there is one. Although invisible, wind can move leaves, which we perceive easily. We can’t see the wind but we can see the effect of the wind. God’s presence is evident through his impact on the world and through his believers. Embrace faith, which is the key to experiencing God’s reality.
