How to Live Undisturbed in a Chaotic World
Life is crazy sometimes, but we don’t have to be. In the chaotic times we’re living in, it’s possible to live undisturbed. Joining us for Faith Friday is guest host, Kisha Moore, who’s filling in for Dana Che as she continues to battle the flu and laryngitis. Talk about a chaotic time! Kisha emphasizes the importance of developing a calm life amid life’s storms.
Kisha has been revisiting the Book of Proverbs, month after month. Today, she shares the wisdom of Proverbs 14:30.
Proverbs 14:30 “A peaceful heart leads to a healthy body…”
Our modern world is full of chaos and turmoil but how are we, as Christian believers, responding? Kisha emphasizes the contrast between a tranquil heart, which brings life and health, and negative emotions like envy, which are detrimental to one’s well-being.
In today’s contemporary world, where fear, scarcity, and jealousy are prevalent, Kisha encourages us to adopt a mindset different from the world’s turmoil and instead focus on cultivating a peaceful and tranquil heart. She reflects on the importance of this mindset in her own life, particularly in dealing with daily challenges and maintaining a sense of peace amidst chaos.
To further clarify the concept, what is the definition of tranquil? It is a state of being undisturbed. Kisha poses the question of how one can cultivate such tranquility in their life. Her answer lies in intentional actions, such as stepping away for a moment of peace or engaging in activities that promote calmness. This approach is not just about personal well-being but also about setting an example of stability and peace in a chaotic world.
It is important to focus on things that are noble, just, and praiseworthy, aligning with the Biblical exhortation to meditate on such things.
