New Beginnings: Hearing Well Done (Plus the End of Faith Talks)

In this farewell Faith Talks episode, we are discussing our goal to hear “well done” from God for stewarding well what He entrusted us with when we reach the end of our life’s journey. A well-known parable in scripture, found in Matthew chapter 25 emphasizes the significance of stewarding our time, talents, and resources well. The parable centers on a master who entrusts different amounts of responsibility to his servants before embarking on a journey. Upon his return, he evaluates their stewardship. The servant who eagerly invested and doubled the silver entrusted to him hears the words, “Well done, my good and faithful servant.” This narrative serves as a poignant reminder that our choices and actions echo far beyond their immediate impact.

Entrusted to Hear Well Done

Each of us is entrusted with unique responsibilities, resources, talents, and gifts. Each person’s journey involves varied levels of influence and impact. Whether it’s a thriving business, a podcast, a ministry, or smaller, subtle acts of kindness and generosity, everyone wields an element of influence. The key lies in stewarding these gifts faithfully, irrespective of their scale or visibility. Comparison and coveting often cloud our perception of success and significance. We must beware of the dangers of fixating on others’ achievements and, instead, focus on our own faithful stewardship.

What will God say to each of us when we pass into the next phase of existence? It’s not our intentions, aspirations, or plans that will be scrutinized, but our tangible impact and stewardship of the resources at our disposal. Time, identified as our most valuable resource, takes center stage in this introspective contemplation. The impact we leave behind is intrinsically interconnected with the way we invest our time, talents, and resources. The Bible teaches that faithful stewardship of even the smallest responsibilities leads to greater opportunities (Luke 16:10).

Good-Bye Faith Talks

As we bid farewell to “Faith Talks,” I’m excited about the rebranding of the Real Relationship Talk podcast and new segments of the show to help us focus on who God has called me to reach with the podcast. Over the past year, Faith Talks (formerly called Faith Fridays) has been a source of encouragement and spiritual growth for many listeners. Though the segments and structure of the podcast will change slightly, we are still committed to fostering deep, meaningful conversations.

Stay tuned!
