What Christians Need to Know About Racial Justice

For far too long, many Christians have either been silent when it comes to talking about racial justice or they have answered with imbalanced, half-hearted truths that have not furthered us along in the journey for racial reconciliation. Some Christians just refuse to have these conversations because they are too “political” or maybe they fear not knowing what to say. Still, other Christians are careful not to engage in any conversations on race that aren’t from a biblical context.

I believe there is a way to have biblical conversations about race that are honest and effective. It is my desire that the church (Christians) begin to take seriously the call to seek justice in this world, and yes, that means racial justice. We cannot continue to be silent and abdicate our role in being unifiers and reconcilers. It’s time for the church to step up.

I recently did a Facebook LIVE video on what I believe every Christian needs to know about racial justice conversations. This video was inspired by some racist comments a stranger made toward one of my children and how I believe we should respond in similar cases. Check it out below.

Racial Justice Resources

And for kicks, here are some of my favorite resources for those who want to learn more of what they can do in the fight for justice and to continue the conversations. I’d love to hear your feedback.
